PARISIAN WEDDING

I photographed this wedding a few years ago and it's still one of my favorites ever!  How could you go wrong, civil ceremony in Paris, formal ceremony in Giverny at the church where Monet is buried, his gardens only steps away.  I wish they would get married all over again - to each other of course!

This is the To Do list the bride had when she picked us up a few days before the wedding.    My favorite entry is about the Honeymoon options...
The Civil Ceremony was held in one of the many Town Halls in Paris a couple days before the formal ceremony.

Getting ready for the big day.
The Priest preparing for the ceremony to take place in the church Monet attended.

This ceremony was special, not only because of the location, but also because it took place in 3 languages, English, French and Yugoslavian.

The bride rode with her maid of honor to the church.  The adorable driver made the trip even better!

The maid of honor gave up her seat in the carriage for the bride's father for the trip to the church.

This is the same route that Monet's daughters wedding followed.  Monet painted a picture of the same scene.

And  la piece de la resistance, surprise fireworks for the bride at the end of the night.
